Garden, terrace and courtyard surfacing in a 40 × 40 cm format
Step is a walking surface for gardens, terraces and courtyards — safe, comfortable and slip-resistant, in a format that cuts cleanly around planting and fixtures.
Gardens are full of edges: beds, steps, walls, drains. A smaller tile wastes less material against all of them, and looks deliberate rather than cut down.
Step is the 40 × 40 cm answer, in plain rubber, a two-sided finish, an artificial grass version and a recycled mix.

A format that cuts well
40 × 40 cm produces less waste around beds, steps and fixtures than a 50 × 50 cm tile.
Two usable faces
Step 2in1 is finished on both sides, so the tile can be turned to suit the look you want.
An artificial grass option
Step Grass carries an 18 mm artificial grass wear layer, with a 0.7 m critical fall height, for green surfaces that still have to perform.
A mix finish
Floor 2in1 is produced from recycled technical rubber for a mixed, flecked appearance.

How to choose the right version
2 cm or 3 cm
2 cm is for walking surfaces; 3 cm reaches 1 m critical fall height and belongs anywhere a child might fall.
Grass or rubber
Step Grass looks like lawn and needs no watering, but it is a wear layer, not turf. Specify it where appearance matters and traffic is moderate.
Larger areas
For big open surfaces, the 50 × 50 cm Easy range covers ground faster.

Installation and maintenance
- Lay on a stable, level surface that drains.
- Keep the drainage channels on the underside clear and facing down.
- Set out from a straight edge — 40 × 40 cm shows misalignment quickly.
- Clean with mild detergent and water; avoid solvents and strong acids or alkalis.
General information
Chemical resistance
Rubber tiles may resist weak acids, alkalis and mineral oils, but performance also depends on concentration and exposure time. For strong chemicals or prolonged oil exposure, a compatibility test or technical consultation is recommended before use.
Drainage capability
The porous structure and drainage profile on the underside help water disperse and the surface dry. A suitably draining base is required for the system to perform correctly.
Recycled raw material
The SBR rubber granulate is sourced from recycled tyres. The exact material composition is stated in the relevant product data sheet.
Cleaning
Clean the surface with water and a mild detergent using a soft brush, cloth or sponge. Solvents, abrasive cleaners and strong acids or alkalis are not recommended.
