ReFlex EquiFlex
Stable floors and box walls for animal housing
EquiFlex was developed for animal housing and agricultural buildings, where safety, comfort and durability are all basic requirements.
Concrete is the default stable floor because it is cheap and lasts. It is also hard, cold and slippery when wet, and bedding only masks that.
EquiFlex sits between the concrete and the animal: enough resilience for comfort, enough grip for confident movement, and a porous structure that lets the floor drain and dry.
Key benefits
Grip where the animal moves
Available with studs (ST5, ST10) or without. The studded versions are specified where traction is the priority.
Comfort that changes behaviour
A resilient floor supports the animal's natural movement and reduces the risk of injury compared with bare concrete.
Built for daily load
Produced at 840–960 kg/m³ and 50–70 Shore A, in 2, 3 and 4 cm thicknesses.
Floor and wall from one family
EquiFlex Wall is a 2 cm panel for box side walls, so the whole box is finished with one material.

How to choose the right version
Studded or plain
Studs increase traction. Specify ST5 or ST10 for boxes and corridors where grip matters most; plain where the surface has to be easy to sweep and wash.
3 cm or 4 cm
3 cm is the general stable floor. 4 cm is the heavier specification, and the plain 4 cm version is the one used in horse walkers.
Do not forget the walls
A box floored in rubber and walled in bare concrete solves half the problem. EquiFlex Wall closes the other half.
Installation and maintenance
- Lay on a stable, level, load-bearing subfloor that drains.
- Keep the drainage channels on the underside clear and facing down.
- Fit wall panels so joints do not sit where an animal makes contact.
- Clean with mild detergent and water; avoid solvents and strong acids or alkalis.
General information
Chemical resistance
Rubber tiles may resist weak acids, alkalis and mineral oils, but performance also depends on concentration and exposure time. For strong chemicals or prolonged oil exposure, a compatibility test or technical consultation is recommended before use.
Drainage capability
The porous structure and drainage profile on the underside help water disperse and the surface dry. A suitably draining base is required for the system to perform correctly.
Recycled raw material
The SBR rubber granulate is sourced from recycled tyres. The exact material composition is stated in the relevant product data sheet.
Cleaning
Clean the surface with water and a mild detergent using a soft brush, cloth or sponge. Solvents, abrasive cleaners and strong acids or alkalis are not recommended.
