For cutting the rubber tiles, we recommend using a jig saw. It is worth to mark the cut line on the rubber tile, with chalk, prior to cutting. It is best to work with a large-toothed blade for wood. Smaller cuts can be performed with trim wallpaper knives as well. In this case, you should make an incision along a ruler (a straight wooden bar) to prepared the cut; and then deepen it until to the full tile is cut. In both cases, mind your hands!
We always recommend installing the rubber tiles on a solid foundation. For details, see the “Installation and Maintenance Instructions” and the document entitled “Important information before you buy”.
The “Installation and maintenance manual” contains a detailed description on the ways to clean the rubber tiles.

The value of Critical Fall Height (Critical Fall Height), also known as HIC (Head Injury Criterion), is an important indicator of the safety of rubber tiles. It was developed to prevent serious head injuries of children. This value tells you the height from which someone can fall on the paving in question without suffering serious head injuries, thanks to the cushioning properties of the paving. For all kinds of playground equipment, the necessary HIC value of the ground must be determined, and you have to choose the kind of paving accordingly.
Yes, they can, but in this case we recommend using the heavy duty types: ReFlex Patio or ReFlex Grand. It is not recommended to use Poured in place rubber paving in parking areas.
The ReFlex Patio rubber tiles have a denser structure and smaller cleats. Their surface, therefore, is more resilient, so for example high-heel shoes cannot damage them. However, since they are harder than the ReFlex rubber tiles, they are not recommended for playgrounds.
