When constructing walkable flat roofs, basements, underground car parks, shafts, storage rooms, building and civil engineering structures, as well as bridges, parking roofs, patios and green roofs, it is important to use appropriate insulation protection systems with the aim to preserve the fragile waterproofing layer. By doing so, you can avoid the damages arising from any damage to the insulation, which could be caused by water infiltration through the waterproofing layer.
We recommend using our general or reinforced rubber sheets particularly where further layers are placed on top of the insulating layer, such as topsoil, paving and the like. These are available in 125 cm wide large rolls, and the rolls, laid side by side, form a continuous protective layer.
If you want to form a tread surface together with the insulation protection, it is recommended that you can use 2-cm or 3-cm thick ReFlex or ReFlex Grand rubber tiles. Out of these rubber tiles, you can create a contiguous flooring, or – laid in a row – narrower side-walks. The advantage of the ReFlex rubber tiles is that – due to their weight – they can be installed without fixing, so that later they can easily be moved to another place.
